Ok, so now I’m a fitness instructor so I have no fat and love working out all the time yes?!....err no and I wish!
Sometimes I absolutely love working out....and sometimes I absolutely hate it! Some days I have an avocado salad, some days I have a bacon sandwich....Is this what they call BALANCE!?!
I really am a morning workout person, I like to get it in and get it done, however the reality of working out in the morning is that due to having two children, a full time job, a dog...me working out in the morning is basically impossible.
If I don’t catch a morning work out I tell myself to work out on the night time and when I’m on a good cycle I do.....but other times, once I’m home and catch up with the lads, cook tea,...yet another dog walk...I don’t want to....I just want to snuggle with my babies and chill.
Before if I wasn’t feeling a workout or I dropped off with the healthy eating that day, I’d say to myself ‘oh forget it, I’ll get back on it next month, or after my holiday or next year!’ The difference is from now to a few years ago is that I understand a lot more. It’s ok to have a day off the healthy eating, it’s ok to skip a workout....but do it just for the day.
‘Keep going in the right direction’
Now I know what healthy eating and workouts do for me and my body. After a cycle of healthy eating and workout this happens:
· I feel stronger in my body
· I have a clear mind
· My clothes fit better
· My skin looks healthier
· I have more energy
· I sleep better
· I’m focused
Do I need to go on?
The point is if you have a bad day...it’s fine...we all have them, were all only human. What I’m saying is...Don’t turn a bad day into a bad week or a bad month. Write a line under that bad day and start again tomorrow. Keep moving in the right direction!
If you want to see change, yes it’s hard work and it doesn’t happen overnight and you do have to put some effort in....but when you start to see results and drop that dress size and feel more healthier and happier this makes it all worthwhile.
Give yourself a target or a challenge, something to focus on. It may be to get back into a dress you like or it may be that you’ve started jogging and want to run 5k in a certain time. It may also be that you want to run around the park with the kids without feeling like you’re going to have a heart attack!
Whatever it is, focus on this and work on it...daily!
If it doesn’t work out for you one day....Keep going! Don't give up! Keep moving in the right direction...and before you know it you’ll be smashing goals...DAILY!
